Sophomores thru Seniors must provide their own helmets. Helmets must be NOCSEA-approved lacrosse helmets and three years or less since purchase. They must be in the current Mendham color scheme - Navy blue shell, red visor, red chin guard. All stickers are provided by school. The choice of manufacturer is up to you, though most players are going with Cascades or Riddells. If you have any concerns or difficulty in supplying your own helmet, please let Coach Shoulberg know.

Universal Lacrosse features a Mendham Lax discount for high school, junior lacrosse and adult "old dog" club players from Mendham and Chester. The savings on helmets are remarkable.

Reminder that helmets may take a week or more for delivery - call them for ordering information.

Lax Booster Wine and Beer Tasting Event

We're still counting, but it looks like we raised about $7,000
That is simply outstanding!

Here's just a partial list of people who did such a great job:

Our organizers: Kate Elkadi, Laura Yee, Patrice Picard and Chris Morrison. These are freshman moms who stepped up and did a terrific job! Start to finish. Go Freshmen!

Set up crew: Lots of parents worked on Friday afternoon to decorate the Community Club and get the refreshments ready. Deb Fullam; Laurie Santomo; Kate Elkadi, Laura Yee, Patrice Picard; Chris Morrison; Diane Alfieri; Laura Wardle; Carol Mearsheimer; Sue Haumersen; Sue Johnson; Parents from every class helped out.

All the parents and friends who donated terrific gifts - too much to list, very generous donations.

All our local businesses who donated gifts and services - we'll put a list of them up this week so you can say 'thanks' next time you are in their store.

Charlie and Jess Shoulberg - great donation from STEPS, nice bid on the popcorn popper and a great speech about our upcoming season.

Laura Wardle - Laura arranged to get all the soft goods that we sold last night - all in a week! She also provided the trivia question about Peter Finch and James Dean.

John Alfieri - our MC for the evening. He's got that job forever.

Freshmen Parents - you guys really turned out for this one in big numbers - THANKS! You guys are so pumped!

Our clean-up crew - at least 20 people jumped in to help knock down tables and clean up. Total teamwork. Total Mendham Lax spirit.

All of you - you showed up to support the event, even folks who don;t have players in our program. You plunked down a lot of money and hopefully met some new lax parents.
